Oakmill Stud is based in the Essex countryside on the outskirts of London, England. We specialise in the breeding of Welsh Ponies of Cob Type, ( section C of the Welsh Stud Book ).
We are a small stud that places the emphasis on quality before quantity and the welfare of our ponies above all else.
Our aim is to breed quality ponies from old proven bloodlines that are true to type and of a suitable temperament and conformation that gives them the ability to perform in all disciplines.
The majority of the breeding stock at Oakmill goes back to Synod William within two generations and our senior stallion carries the bloodlines of Nebo Brenin. All of our foals are born in stables and well handled from day one, after weaning they are back in the stables for their first winter to give them the very best start in life. All the stabled ponies at Oakmill, including the stallions spend some time every day turned out at play or at exercise.
